hey James! congrats on a new release 🎉 in the video it seems like zip2 sample sound menus will support bitwig devices but i’ve couldn’t find it on the f9 site of the release. could you please clarify if this is the case.

Every time I think I'm getting good at music production, and I'm not too bad, and then watch your videos....Well, it's very humbling to say the least, yet still massively inspirational. This is cool! I usually boost frequencies with an eq, then distort, and then often remove some of the frequencies I boosted, kinda similar, but this is cleaner I think

Looks cool. Im wondering if it might be cool if you phase rotate the signal which would align the wave around 0db. I have been wanting to get one but im broke. The downside is this might cause phase distortion when you reintroduce it to the other signals due to being out of phase with them so i don't know what to do. I'm curious to see what others think cause im confused.

This has nothing to do with the key if the kick. This has everything to do with the phase. You could have just as easily doubled the second waveform than half it if you simply phase aligned them....... This is complete misinformation

Not a fan of MPC Beats or MPC Software tbh. Because it tries too much to emulate the legacy MPC workflow that you find on Akai's hardware devices, it falls woefully short as a modern software DAW. The MPC standalone hardware however, I like a lot. Love my versatility and mobility of my MPC Live 2. Got F9 Instruments installed on it as well :)

Cool! This will be great. I recently refurbished an old Alesis HR-16 a while back. Absolutely love it, but haven't used it in years due to it's pretty uninspiring drum sounds. Just ordered a bunch of eproms, an inexpensive programmer and now I'm working on a bunch of custom samples. I'm kind of winging it, so an actual in depth guide on how to optimise drum samples for use in those old, low bit rate eprom based machines would be extremely useful and much appreciated!

I've been doing this unconsciously for years and didn't realize it. I just always knew that if I gain staged to a VU meter and then level with a console emulation fader instead of the DAW fader I’d always have a consistent level for plugins and automation. Since I've seen this video I now know I can do this without extra sub-mix channels and get even more consistent results!
